Butler County Historical Society and the Kansas Oil Museum Located at 383 E. Box 1076, El Dorado, KS 67042.   Coutts Memorial Museum of Art Call for group tours at 316-321-1212.  The museum hours are 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.  Monday through Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Coutts Museum is located at 101 North Main.   Bluestem Art Gallery  (Exhibit/Sell) Located at 112 North Main, Bluestem Art Gallery contains works of Art from our local talents including original art & crafts.  Their hours are Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4:00 p.m.  316-321-4344.   Gift Horse Farm Gallery & Gardens Gift Horse Farm is located at 1110 N.W. 30th St. and they can be reached at 316-321-0889.  Their hours are noon to dark, and by chance or appointment in the winter.   El Dorado Bike Trail Starting from North Main Park, 900 N. Main and stretching to El Dorado Lake State Park, the bike trail provides safe and enjoyable entertainment.  Parking is available at both ends of the trails.

Country setting with a view of the El Dorado Lake.  Comfortable queen-sized bed.  Private bath with large shower.  Complete kitchen.  TV/VCR/Telephone/Computer hook-up.  Ceramic tile floor.  Ceiling fan.  Central heat & air.  Porch with rocking chairs.  Continental breakfast.  Evening snack upon arrival.  Special diets may be accommodated with advance notice.  Continental breakfast usually includes a home made bread (coffee cake, fruit/nut bread or muffins), a fruit dish, coffee and tea.  Other items may be available to accommodate special needs.  Food is brought to your door the night before so that you may eat whenever your schedule requires or delivered after 8:00a.m. in the morning.  (Microwave and refrigerator in kitchen area.)  Light snack and refreshments provided upon arrival.  House is accessible for most people.  Call regarding your particular situation.  Business travelers welcome - only 15-20 minutes from El Dorado and easily accessible by highways.  Romantic weekend?  Honeymoon?  Other special occasion?  Let us know how we can help make it a weekend to remember.  Gift certificates available (for the frazzled and stressed out, nature lovers, boaters and fisher persons...).  An appropriately sized and well-behaved pet is welcome to stay with you.  Private parking behind the guest house also has room for a boat and a trailer.  A receipt can be provided upon request.  Check-in and check-out times are usually flexible.  Arrangements are made when you call for reservations.  Guest house is very comfortable for 1 or 2 adults or adult and one child (10 or older, please).  LakeView is a smoke-free facility.  If you make a reservation and some major life event comes up - PLEASE CALL.  If we can still rent the guest house to someone else, your deposit will be refunded.  It also means that we won't be worrying about you.
